The theme of the Birthday of Pancasila 2025, the importance of strengthening ideology

JAKARTA (Antara) – Every year on June 1, Indonesia commemorates the birthday of Pancasila. In 2025 became the 80th celebration in commemorating the services of heroes as well as driving for the community to commit to the nation’s ideology, namely Pancasila.

On June 1 was celebrated as the birthday of Pancasila because on that day in 1945, President Soekarno first delivered the formulation of the five foundations of the state which was later named “Pancasila” in the BPUPKI session. So that it becomes a milestone in the birth of the ideology of the Indonesian people.

The government established June 1, 1945 as the birthday of Pancasila as well as a national holiday, through Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 24 of 2016.

Thus, all elements of the nation are encouraged to commemorate it as a moment to strengthen the spirit of unity of nationalism and practice the values ​​of Pancasila.

Theme of the celebration of the birthday of Pancasila 2025

In 2025, the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) carries the theme “Strengthening the Ideology of Pancasila Towards Indonesia Raya”, according to Circular Head of BPIP number 3 of 2025 concerning Guidelines for the Commemoration of Pancasila Birthdays in 2025.

With this theme, it is a reminder that the importance of strengthening the values ​​of Pancasila as the basis of the state and the life of the nation and state.

Strengthening the ideology of Pancasila is the key to maintaining the unity and integrity of the nation in facing global challenges, social dynamics, and achieving the ideals of the nation as a just, prosperous, and dignified Indonesia.

Philosophy of Logo Celebration of Pancasila 2025

In addition to the theme, there is an official logo in the celebration of the Special Pancasila Birthday in 2025.

This logo features a Garuda bird with red wings and a golden beak and tail, named “Garuda Niskala Hema”.

The name “Garuda” symbolizes the strength, glory and dynamics of the Indonesian people. This is a representation of the soul and spirit of an independent, united, sovereign, just, and prosperous nation, as the noble values ​​of Pancasila.

Meanwhile, “Niskala” comes from Sanskrit which means sturdy and strong. In Greek, Niskala means a victory and is often interpreted as something that cannot be seen, touched, or felt physically.

That is, the ideology of Pancasila is always embedded in the thought, behavior, and soul of Indonesian people consciously or unconsciously.

Furthermore, “Hema” means gold, a symbol of something valuable, beautiful, and a symbol of success and glory.

The gold color on the logo confirms the hope that Pancasila remains a solid gold foundation and bring Indonesia to a bright future.

The “Garuda Niskala Hema” logo contains visual representations that are full of meaning, combining symbolism of nationalism, education, and noble values ​​of the Indonesian people.

There is a human illustration with a golden triangle up, symbolizing the golden generation of Indonesia and placing humans as the center of development of the nation’s character.

Then, the pillar of five sturdy pillars at the bottom of the logo symbolizes five precepts of Pancasila as the foundation of people’s lives, nation and state.

Furthermore, an open open book symbolizes the spirit of courage, independence, and ready to fly high. In addition, this element conveys the message of the importance of Pancasila education from an early age and sustainable.

In the words “Harlah Pancasila 2025” which is next to the logo image, reflects the affirmation of the 80th anniversary of the Pancasila Birthday Commemoration since 1945.

The use of capital letters and black symbolizes the firmness, determination of attitudes, and stability in holding the country’s ideology.

Commemoration of Pancasila Birthday at the central level will be held with the implementation of the flag ceremony at the Pancasila Building, Jakarta, on Monday 2 June 2025 at 10:00 WIB.

The flag ceremony will be attended by the president, vice president, leader of the institution, and other important figures. Then, broadcast online through BPIP’s YouTube, Facebook, Instagram account, Instagram, so that the whole community feels the atmosphere nationality simultaneously.

With the philosophy of logos that are rich in relevant meanings and themes, the anniversary of the Pancasila Harlah this year is expected to foster a sense of optimism, strengthen unity, and inspire the younger generation to continue to apply the values ​​of Pancasila in everyday life.
