RI and UAE agree on 8 strategic cooperation, the following list
JAKARTA (Antara) – The relationship between Indonesia and the Arab Emirates Association (PEA) has again recorded a strategic strengthening.
In a bilateral meeting at the Qasr Al Shatie Palace, Abu Dhabi, Wednesday (09/04/2025), President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and President PEA Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) witnessed the announcement of eight cooperation documents agreed upon by the two countries.
The document consists of four memorandum of understanding between government (Government to Government/G-to-G) and four business cooperation (business to business/B-to-B). This step shows the strong commitment of the two countries in expanding partnerships in various strategic fields.

G-to-G cooperation includes:
1. The statement of the will between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PEA and the Coordinating Ministry for Food for the Republic of Indonesia regarding natural and climate partnerships.
2. Protocol changes of the two memorandums of mutual understanding of marine and fisheries cooperation.
3. MoU between the Ministry of Home Affairs PEA and the National Police regarding the security and control of terrorists.;
4. MoU between the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia and the General Authority of Islamic, Waqf, and Zakat Pea regarding cooperation in the field of Islamic and Waqf management.

Meanwhile, the B-to-B cooperation announced included:
1. MoU between the Directorate General of Animal Husbandry and the Health of the Republic of Indonesia and Al-Ain Farms Pea about milk production investment.
2. Note of understanding between Ninety Degree General Trading LLC and PT Pindad.
3. Agreement The principle of developing a solar power plant generator Photvoltaic Cirata.
4. MoU between PT PLN (Persero) and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar for the planned development of the Jatigede Floating PLTS with a capacity of 100 MW.
President Prabowo’s presence at the meeting was the initial marker of a new chapter in the RI-UEA relationship under his leadership. He stressed the importance of concrete and sustainable synergy in answering global challenges, ranging from food security to energy transition.
President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) welcomed this achievement, he called Indonesia the main partner of PEA in the Southeast Asian region. He also highlighted the important role of the private sector cooperation in creating sustainable growth.
This meeting is not only a place of diplomacy, but also reflects the similarity of the vision of the two countries in building a more inclusive and more prosperous future. The RI-UEA relationship that has been established for more than four decades is now increasingly firm with cooperation that touches various layers, from government to the business world.
