Ways and requirements for changing ID cards online in 2025

Jakarta (Antara) – The process of replacing the address on the Identity Card (KTP) is now easier with the online service provided by the Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil) in various regions. This innovation aims to facilitate the community in managing population administration without distance and time.

This service allows the public to take care of changes in address without having to come directly to the Disdukcapil office. That way, the process becomes more practical and efficient, while reducing the queue and accelerating services for residents in need. Thus, consider the following ways and conditions required.

Requirements for replacing KTP addresses online

Before applying for changes to the address on the Identity Card (KTP) online, make sure you have prepared the required documents. This requirement has been regulated in Presidential Regulation No. 96 of 2018 and Permendagri No. 108 of 2019. The following is a list of documents that must be prepared:

1. Family Card (KK)

Prepare the original document and photocopy.

2. Identity Card (KTP)

Attach the original KTP and copy of the photocopy.

3. PASS PHOTO

Use 4 3 × 4 cm photos.

4. Certificate of Moving (SKP)

Make sure this document has been stamped and signed by the Head of the Disdukcapil Office.

5. SKP Cc:

This document must have a stamp and signature as a copy to the relevant kelurahan or sub -district.

Steps to replace the KTP address online

Following are the steps to submit changes to the KTP address online:

1. Access to the official Disdukcapil site

Visit the Disdukcapil website according to your domicile that provides online addresses. For example, for the Jepara region, access through https://disdukcapil.jepara.go.id.

2. Fill in personal data

Enter the Population Identification Number (NIK) and the active mobile number in the column provided.

3. Choose the type of service

Select the “Exit Displacement” option or in accordance with the services needed.

4. Choose family members who move

Determine who are the family members who will move to domicile.

5. Fill in the movement data

Complete the movement data, including the applicant’s NIK or family member who will move, the original address, the destination address, and the reasons for moving.

6. Upload supporting documents

Upload the necessary documents, such as KTP, KK, and SKP from the Kelurahan.

7. Send request

After all the data is filled and the most uploaded document, click the “Send” button to submit an application.

8. Verification by the officer

Wait for the verification process from the Disdukcapil officer. If the data and documents are complete and valid, the officer will process your request.

9. Publishing New Documents

After the verification is complete, Disdukcapil will issue a Certificate of Moving Indonesian Citizens (SKPWNI) and Family Card with a new address.

10. Download and print documents

Download documents that have been issued and printed using 80 gram A4 HVS paper for further administrative purposes.

This online service may not be available in all regions. Therefore, be sure to check its availability at Disdukcapil your region before applying for an application. Although most of the processes can be done online, some areas may still require physical presence for certain verification.
