Profile of Reynaldy Putra, the figure of a young regent of Subang

JAKARTA (Antara) – Reynaldy Putra Andita is one of the regents who has been officially inaugurated by President Prabowo at the State Palace, Jakarta. He was also one of the youngest regents among other officials.

In this 2024 regional election, Reynaldy with his political partner, Agus Masykur as Deputy Regent, won the most votes and became elected candidates.

Reynaldy became the figure of a youth figure to lead Subang Regency as a regent official in the period 2025-2030.

Born in Jakarta on October 30, 1996, Reynaldy was a politician from the Work Group (Golkar). At a relatively young age, 28 years, Reynaldy is ready to carry out the mandate as a regional leader, who brings new hope to the people of Subang.

Reynaldy was born to a family who has a political background. He is the son of Elita Budiyati, Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPD in Subang Regency.

Reynaldy has a diploma and scholar education. He is a graduate of government science diploma from Padjadjaran University, then successfully completed his Bachelor of Political Science education at Jenderal Achmad Yani University.

In his political world, in 2017 Reynaldy joined the Golkar Party and became the youngest cadre.

Reynaldy began his work in the Golkar Party by serving as deputy treasurer. His political career continued to climb until in 2020, he was trusted to become the Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar DPD of West Java.

Not only active in the party structure, Rey also received a mandate to lead the Youth Wing Organization, the Golkar Party (AMPI) Youth Force since 2022.

Elected as chairman, he was responsible for attracting young voters from millennial and zilenial, to strengthen the Golkar support base among the next generation.

In addition to leading AMPI, in 2020 Reynaldy also assumed the important role as the Daily Chair of the DPD Youth Force of Indonesian Renewal of West Java.

Reynaldy is increasingly active in expanding and strengthening the Golkar Party network in West Java, with the hope of being able to bring the party bearing the banyan tree is closer to the aspirations of the younger generation.

Before being elected as the Regent of Subang, he was also elected as a member of the West Java Provincial DPRD Dapil XI (Subang, Majalengka, Sumedang) 2019-2024.

In the 2019 Pileg, Rey managed to get as many votes as 55,217 voice. When he was officially appointed as a member of the West Java DPRD, he was only 22 years old, making him the youngest member who had held a legislative seat in the province.

In the first 100 days of his leadership as the Regent of Subang, Reynaldy focused on bureaucratic reform. He wants to ensure that public services run optimally and are free from practices that harm the community.

One of Reynaldy’s top priority is to eradicate illegal levies (extortion) in the employment sector. He plans to directly observe the process of recruitment of labor.

In an effort to get closer to the community, Reynaldy will go down to the field more often, dialogue directly with residents, and open a more interactive communication channel.

In addition, he initiated various innovative programs, such as visiting 253 villages in a year, launching the activity “Saturday with Kang Rey” to discuss with young people, as well as Live Tiktok twice a week to accommodate the aspirations of the wider community.

To ensure that the policies implemented are effective, Reynaldy will conduct a policy evaluation every three months with community leaders, the media, and social organizations.

In the infrastructure sector, he targets to repair 320 kilometers of damaged roads in two years to support the mobility and regional economy.

While in the health sector, he planned the construction of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Pantura Subang, which is targeted to begin to be built in 2027.

Reynaldy’s leadership as the Regent of Subang brought new hopes to the community. The young spirit and innovation that it carries, is expected to bring positive changes and make Subang a more developed and prosperous region.
