Deddy Corbuzier emphasized that he would not take a salary, this was the amount of staff salary

JAKARTA (Antara) – Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin officially appointed Deodatus Andreas Deddy Cahyadi Sunjoyo or better known as Deddy Corbuzier as the Special Staff of the Minister of Defense on Tuesday (11/2/25).

Responding to public criticism related to the state budget, Deddy stressed that he would not receive a salary as a special staff of the Defense Minister. The presenter and YouTuber stated that his income from the entertainment industry was more than enough, so he did not need to take a salary from the government.

However, based on applicable regulations, the Minister’s Special Staff is actually entitled to receive salaries and benefits that are equivalent to IB echelon officials or high -ranking positions. This is regulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 68 of 2019. Then what exactly is the salary that will be obtained by the Special Staff of the Minister of Defense?

Salaries and benefits of special staff ministers

Although not taking a salary, according to the applicable regulations, the minister’s special staff are actually entitled to receive salaries and allowances equivalent to IB echelon officials or high -ranking positions. This is regulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 68 of 2019.

In Perpres number 10 of 2024, the basic salary of echelon I officials ranged from Rp 3,880,400 to Rp 6,373,200 per month. In addition, the minister’s special staff also received various benefits, including:

• Positional allowance
• Husband/Wife and Children’s Allowance
• Food or rice allowance
• Holiday Allowance (THR)
• 13th salary
• Performance Allowance (Tukin)

Tukin is the largest component in the financial rights of special staff. Based on Presidential Regulation No. 104 of 2018, Tukin echelon officials at the Ministry of Defense ranged IDR 20,695,000 to IDR 29,085,000 per month.

Minister’s special staff duties

The task of the Minister’s Special Staff is regulated in Article 69 of the Presidential Regulation Number 68 of 2019, namely:

1. Provide advice and consideration to the Minister or Coordinating Minister in accordance with the assignment given.
2. Carry out special tasks, outside the field of task of the organization of the Ministry or the Coordinating Ministry.
3. Responsible directly to the Minister or Coordinating Minister regarding the implementation of the tasks given.

In addition, based on Article 70 of Presidential Regulation Number 68 of 2019, Minister Special Staff can come from two categories:

1. Civil Servants (PNS) and Non PNS.
2. If special staff comes from civil servants, then he will be dismissed from his organic position without losing status as a civil servant, in accordance with applicable regulations.

That’s the details of salary, allowances, and the duties of the Minister’s Special Staff. Their role is expected to make a maximum contribution in supporting the Ministry’s performance in accordance with the needs and policies set.
