Jakarta (ANTARA) – The name Bambang Wuryanto, or who is familiarly called Bambang Pacul, has recently been in the public spotlight. It is rumored that this senior politician from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) will leave the party that has long been his political home. This rumor emerged amidst the political dynamics after the 2024 elections.
A video upload on the TikTok platform claims that senior PDIP politician, Bambang Pacul, has officially declared his departure from the Red Bull party.
The narration in the video reads, “PDIP was destroyed due to Jokowi’s attack, senior PDIP politician Bambang Pacul left PDIP.” However, is it true that Bambang Pacul has left the PDI Perjuangan?
The search results show that to date there has been no official statement from PDIP or Bambang Pacul regarding the outstanding claims. The truth of this information cannot be ascertained because it is not supported by evidence or direct clarification from the relevant parties.

Meanwhile, the uploaded video only shows the narrator quoting Bambang Pacul’s statement in a podcast with Total Politik in 2023. In this statement, Bambang Pacul discusses the issue of not fighting good people or beautiful people.
As previously known, on Tuesday (3/12), PDIP announced its decision to dismiss 27 of its cadres. The list includes the names of the 7th President Joko Widodo, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, and the Mayor of Medan for the 2021-2024 period, Bobby Nasution.
However, until now, the Secretary General of PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto, has not made an official announcement regarding who is included in the list of cadres who will be dismissed. Hasto stated that the names would be announced on December 17.

Profile and political career of Bambang Pacul
Bambang Wuryanto, better known as Bambang Pacul, was born on 17 July 1956. He is an Indonesian politician who currently serves as Deputy Chair of the Indonesian MPR for the 2024–2029 period. Apart from that, Bambang Pacul has also been a member of the People’s Representative Council for the Central Java IV electoral district since 2004.
Bambang Pacul, has a strong educational background. He began his primary education at SDN Makam Haji in 1971, then continued to SMP N IX Surakarta in 1974, and completed his secondary education at SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta in 1977.
After that, Bambang continued his studies in Chemical Engineering at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, and earned an Ir. in 1988. It didn’t just stop there, he also earned an MBA from Prasetya Mulya University in 1993, strengthening his competence in the professional world.
His political career began in 2000 when he joined the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP). Since then, Bambang Pacul has been active in the world of politics and has continued to build his reputation in various important positions in government.
Bambang Pacul was successfully elected as a member of the DPR by obtaining 128,116 votes from the Electoral District of Central Java IV, which includes the Wonogiri, Karanganyar and Sragen areas. This victory marked one of the important achievements in his political career.

Before entering the world of politics, Bambang started his career in education. He was a teaching staff at AMP and STIE YKPN Yogyakarta from 1987 to 1994.
Apart from that, he also serves as Director of LPPM (Institute for Research and Community Service) Prismagama in Surakarta.
After that, he started a business in the construction services sector by establishing PT Sarana Yasa Manunggal in 1998. His career further developed when he was appointed as expert staff to the Deputy Chair of the Indonesian MPR from the PDIP Fraction in 2002.
Bambang started his political career by participating in the PDIP DPP Badiklatpus in the 2000-2004 period. After that, he was trusted to become an expert staff member for the PDIP faction at the MPR.
His experience and dedication in the world of politics led him to be elected as a member of the DPR for four consecutive terms, namely 2004-2009, 2009-2014, 2014-2019, and 2019-2024.
This achievement led Bambang to an important position in PDIP, namely as Chair of the DPP for Energy and Mining. Additionally, on 24 January 2018, Bambang Wuryanto replaced Tubagus Hasanuddin as Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the DPR, a position that further strengthened his influence in Indonesian politics.
