Profile of Major General TNI Windiyatno Pangdam XIV/Hasanuddin
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Maj. Gen. TNI Windiyatno has officially been transferred as Commander of the XIV/Hasanuddin (Hsn) Regional Military Command (Pangdam), replacing Maj. Gen. TNI Bobby Rinal Makmun.
This was decided through the Decree (SK) of TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto with number KEP/1545/XII/2024, which was issued on Friday (6/12).
In this rotation, as many as 300 high-ranking TNI officers underwent transfers, of which four filled the position of Military Commander. These changes reflect the dynamics of the leadership structure within the TNI to strengthen command and supervision in various regions.
It is known that Major General TNI Windiyatno is one of the classmates of the Chief of Army Staff (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, both of whom graduated from the 1992 Military Academy (Akmil) from the Kopassus Infantry unit.

Profile of Maj. Gen. TNI Windiyatno
Major General TNI Windiyatno was born in Pemalang, Central Java, on January 24 1970, and spent most of his military career in the Kopassus Corps. Windiyatno has a fairly qualified military educational background.
Some of them are, Sesarcabif, Dik PARA, and Dik Commander A-64 in 1993. Apart from that, he took part in Suslapa in 2001 and Dik PARA Utama.
Not only that, Windiyatno also studied at the Army Command and Staff College (Seskoad) in 2007, and at the TNI Command Staff College (Sesko) in 2016. He also graduated from the Indonesian National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas).
His dedication to the military world has been visible since serving as Dan Unit 2/13/Yon 12 Group 1 Kopassus. Over time, his career increasingly developed by occupying various strategic positions in this elite unit.
Windiyatno continued his career by serving as Dantim 5/3 Yon 41 Group 4 Kopassus. In this position, he demonstrated extraordinary leadership abilities, which became the foundation for his next career stage.
After that, when he held the rank of Captain, Windiyatno held several important positions, including Kasippers Group 3 Kopassus, Danden 1 Battalion 31 Group Kopassus, and Wadanyon 32 Group 3 Kopassus. His military career continued to develop, accompanied by his promotion.
His rank continued to increase, and Windiyatno was appointed as Pamen Kopassus (Dik Seskoad). After that, he returned to Kopassus where he served as Dansesandha Pusdikpassus and Danyon 33 Group 3 Kopassus. When he held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (Letkol), he was appointed as a Temporary Officer (Pjs) in one of the strategic units.

Windiyatno started his important position as Pabandya Binkarpers Kopassus, before being trusted to become Kapuskopdal Kopassus, and from 2010 to 2011, served as Dandim 0709/Kebumen Korem 072/Pmk.
After a year leading the territorial area, he was appointed Waaspers Kasdivif 2/Kostrad, a step that further strengthened his military career.
Windiyatno’s career was growing rapidly, which was seen when he was appointed Danbrigif 13/1 Kostrad. Subsequently, he was trusted to serve as Asops Kasdam IV/Diponegoro, then Danrindam IX/Udayana, and finally served as Danrem 064/Maulana Yusuf. His dedication and loyalty in carrying out his duties earned him a promotion to a higher position.
Thanks to his extraordinary performance, Windiyatno was promoted to high-ranking TNI officer and appointed as Danmentar Akmil for the period 2020 to 2021. This position also marked his promotion to TNI Brigadier General (Brigjen).
After a year leading the Military Academy, he was transferred to Dirum Pussenif Kodiklatad, then Dirsen Pussenif, before finally being promoted again to Dansecapaad. And finally, on December 6 2024, he was transferred as Commander of Military District XIV/Hasanuddin.
It is known that the XIV/Hasanuddin Military Regional Command (Kodam XIV/HSN) is a military defense regional command that covers the provinces of Southeast Sulawesi, South Sulawesi and West Sulawesi.
