Profile of Chandra Rahmansyah, candidate for Deputy Mayor of Depok 2025-2030


Jakarta (ANTARA) – The 2024 Depok City Regional Head Election will be attended by two pairs of regional head candidates. Pair number 1, Imam Budi Hartono and Ririn A Rafiq, offered the vision of Depok Berkarya Sejahtera with a focus on infrastructure development, governance and community welfare.

Candidate pair number 2, Supian Suri and Chandra Rahmansyah, carry the vision of Advanced Depok with priorities of increasing community productivity, development of environmentally friendly infrastructure, technology-based creative economy, and transformation of public services.

Chandra is a 43 year old National Awakening Party (PKB) politician, member of the Regional Management Council of West Java Province, born in Jakarta on July 28 1981. He lives in Depok City, is Muslim, and graduated from the University of Indonesia in 2020 with a Bachelor of Computers degree.

He pursued higher education after graduating from secondary education at Jakarta Aviation Technical High School, and State Middle School 182 Kalibata, and graduated from basic education at SD Negeri 03 Pagi Kalibata, South Jakarta.

While studying, Chandra was active in student organizations and fought for educational issues for groups who were hampered by access to their rights as citizens.

His commitment can be seen from the establishment of a shelter for street children in Depok, where he and his fellow organizations provide education and skills training.

His experience at the next level is as an expert for the Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law and Security from 2016 to 2019, and as an expert team for the Advisory Council of the President of the Republic of Indonesia from 2019 to 2024.

Furthermore, Chandra was also listed as a researcher at the Indonesia Water Institute from 2019 to 2024

Chandra exercised his right to vote at Voting Place (TPS) 75 Pesona Depok 2 Housing Complex, Sukmajaya District in his ambition to provide the best service to Depok residents. He is running in the 2024 regional elections as a candidate for Deputy Mayor of Depok 2025-2030.

He paired with the 2025-2030 candidate for Mayor of Depok, Supian Suri, managed to collect 451,785 votes, ahead of the regional head candidate pair supported by the coalition of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and the Golkar Party in Depok, Imam Budi Hartono and Ririn A Rafiq who only collected 396,863 voice.

Supian and Chandra’s superiority was visible in seven of the 11 sub-districts that held voting to elect regional heads in Depok City. Meanwhile, his opponent managed to excel in only four sub-districts.
