Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Democratic Party has officially given a letter of recommendation to the former Governor of Maluku, Murad Ismail, to run again as Governor in the Maluku Regional Election for the next five years. He will be accompanied by Democratic Party politician, Michael Wattimena, as a candidate for deputy governor.
The former Governor of Maluku for the 2019-2024 period is a retired high-ranking National Police officer who held various important positions in the police. In 2013, he served as Deputy Head of the Maluku Regional Police (Wakapolda), then served as Chief of the Maluku Regional Police, and his last position was as Commander and Main Policy Analyst in the Mobile Brigade Division of the Indonesian Police Mobile Brigade Corps.
After several years of service, Murad decided to resign from the police force. In January 2018, he registered himself as a candidate for governor of Maluku with the General Election Commission (KPU), and his career continued into the world of politics.
Along with his work in the world of politics and government, his wealth and assets have also attracted public attention.
