North Sumatra gubernatorial election: Cawagub Hasan Basri Sagala’s assets according to LHKPN
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Hasan Basri Sagala, candidate for deputy governor of North Sumatra (Cawagub North Sumatra), reported his assets amounting to IDR 3,471,000,000 or the equivalent of IDR 3.47 billion. These assets were reported through the State Officials’ Wealth Report (LHKPN) which was submitted to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on August 26 2024.
The name Hasan Basri Sagala began to attract public attention after being appointed as Edy Rahmayadi’s companion in the 2024 North Sumatra Regional Head Election (Pilkada). Hasan’s role as the incumbent candidate’s running mate in the North Sumatra gubernatorial election was one of the reasons for the increased attention paid to him.
Based on the LHKPN report, Hasan Basri Sagala’s total wealth reaches IDR 3.4 billion. If accumulated, these assets include two plots of land and buildings in South Jakarta worth Rp. 1.8 billion, one motorbike worth Rp. 5 million, other movable assets amounting to Rp. 95 million, and cash of Rp. 1.5 billion without any debt.

Hasan’s nomination as Deputy Governor of North Sumatra brought the spotlight to the transparency and accountability of candidates in disclosing their assets.
