The following day, Monday, October 21, Pigai was appointed as the first Minister of Human Rights (HAM) in Indonesia.
This newly formed ministry is the result of a split from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. This was done to sharpen work programs and activities in the ministry.
As part of his obligations as a state official, Natalius Pigai has submitted the State Administrators’ Wealth Report (LHKPN).
LHKPN or State Officials’ Wealth Report is a report that must be submitted by state officials regarding the assets they own when they first take office, transfers, promotions and retirement. Another obligation that accompanies LHKPN is to declare assets and be willing to have their assets audited.
The purpose of making the LHKPN is as part of the authority of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), namely carrying out steps or efforts to prevent the occurrence of criminal acts of corruption, including by registering and examining the LHKPN.
