Born in Banjarmasin on January 22 1972, Ridha has experienced a lot of acid and salt in the world of politics and business in the country, including through his involvement in the Central Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI).
In the 2011-2014 period, Ridha was nominated as a candidate for Chair of the KNPI, this shows his significant role among Indonesian youth.
In 2014, Ridha ran for office as a member of the DKI Jakarta Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), representing the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) for the East Jakarta area.
Even though he lives in South Jakarta, Ridha managed to collect 3,691 votes in the election, however, this number was not enough to win a seat in the DPRD.
A year later, Ridha Sabana held a strategic position as General Chair of the Garuda Party, a political party that had just been founded at that time.
Through this position, he seeks to strengthen his party’s role in the national political arena, making him one of the important figures in contemporary Indonesian political movements.

Previously, Ridha served as President Director of PT Cipta Televisi Pendidikan Indonesia (TPI) since 2014, a commercial television network owned by Siti Hardiyanti Rukmana (Tutut), the eldest daughter of former President Soeharto.
As TPI leader, he played an important role in supporting Tutut’s ownership of TPI, especially in facing legal challenges from media tycoon Hary Tanoesoedibjo.
However, in February 2018, Ridha confirmed that he would no longer serve as President Director of TPI.
With a wealth of experience in politics and business, Ahmad Ridha Sabana is expected to be able to carry out this task optimally and credibly for the next five years of government.
